Devotional: Embracing God's Presence in the Everyday

Colossians 3:1–4 If then you have been raised with Christ, seek the things that are above, where Christ is, seated at the right hand of God. Set your minds on things that are above, not on things that are on earth. For you have died, and your life is hidden with Christ in God. When Christ who is your life appears, then you also will appear with him in glory.

Philippians 4:4–7 Rejoice in the Lord always; again I will say, rejoice. Let your reasonableness be known to everyone. The Lord is at hand; do not be anxious about anything, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus. (ESV)
Paul encourages us to set our minds on things above and to rejoice in the Lord always. This aligns with the sermon's call to be intentional about engaging with God's presence. Today, practice being aware of God's presence in everyday moments. As you go about your routine, pause periodically to acknowledge God with you. Try praying conversationally throughout your day, sharing your thoughts and experiences with Him. Reflect on how this practice impacts your sense of joy and peace.
